Little Bakers' Big Baking Adventure: A Story-Led Colour & Learn Activity Book (Ages 4–7)

£5.99

If your little one is always first to the kitchen when the mixing bowl comes out, this one's for them. And it's a lovely way to give them all the fun of baking without the flour on the floor.

In Little Bakers' Big Baking Adventure, your child becomes the fifth Little Baker. They help Millie, Benny, Poppy and Charlie fill their empty bakery with biscuits/ookies. Each of the seven short chapters opens with a story to read together, then the activities carry the adventure along: finding the missing ingredients, mixing, rolling, waiting for the oven (the hardest part!), decorating with sprinkles and finally opening the bakery doors.

I designed it from my years working in childcare, when I saw again and again how a story keeps little ones engaged far longer than a stack of separate worksheets. They want to know what happens next, so they keep going, and the counting, tracing and pattern-spotting comes along for the ride.

What's in the book

- 7 story chapters across 40 pages

- Early maths: counting ingredients and biscuits, sorting by shape, simple addition, filling shelves and orders

- Pencil control: tracing baking words (FLOUR, EGG, MIX, ROLL, BAKE), stirring spirals and rolling-pin paths

- Thinking skills: sequencing, patterns, spot the difference, before-and-after, clue-following "Design Detective"

- Hands-on fun: cut, colour and glue biscuits onto a baking tray

- Creative pages: decorate an apron, design and name a special biscuit, create a bakery sign, draw a favourite treat

- Official Little Baker Certificate to finish

- Grown-Up Guide & Answer Sheets (5 pages): read-aloud tips, ideas for adapting each activity, and every answer

Formats included

- A4 PDF (UK edition, "biscuits")

- US Letter PDF (US edition, "cookies")

- Grown-Up Guide in both sizes

How to use it

1. Your files arrive by email straight after purchase.

2. Print the whole book, or one chapter at a time to spread the adventure over a week.

3. Add crayons, a pencil, child-safe scissors and glue.

4. Read the chapter story together, then let them get “baking”

Why parents and carers love it

- Calm, screen-free time that still feels exciting

- Early maths and pencil control without it feeling like schoolwork

- The story keeps little ones engaged from page to page

- No pressure: there's no need to finish in one sitting, and creative pages have no "right" answer

- The answer key takes the guesswork out for grown-ups

- Print again for siblings, playdates or a morning at Grandma's

This is a digital download. Nothing will be posted. It's a pretend-baking activity book, not a recipe book. For personal and single-classroom use. Any questions at all? Email me at contact@funprintables4kids.com and I'll be happy to help.
